LIBYA - Why are we there?

I'll be honest with you, I have no clue while we are in Libya. I can't explain why this country was so important for the world community to intervene to "protect" the citizens.

I have several questions that I would like answered, by anyone please;

1) Obviously why Libya and not any other country in the world currently in turmoil?

2) Why is the United States NOT taking command of this operation?

3) Why is NATO taking command of this operation (remember, NATO is supposed to be for the defense of Member nations only)?

4) Why was Congress not given a chance to approve this operation?

5) Who are the rebels? Can we be certain they ARE not a radical Islamic group?

6) Why are we wasting money on this war that obviously does not need our support, when we have such need for that money in our own nation?
